Introduction - Learn How to Short Term Trade (Swing Trade)

This website is designed to offer free tactics and strategies for trading in the short term.  If trading is new for you this site is the perfect site to get started with!

Swing Trading can be challenging with out the proper tools and knowledge.  Most that fail at trading fail because of:

1. Lack of Planning
2. Lack of Understanding
3. Lack of Discipline

But as you take the time to read through all of the different aspects in this website you will gain confidence and know how to better plan, understand, and carry out with discipline your trading plan.

What is Swing Trading?

Swing Trading/ Short Term trading attempts to capture short term moves in stocks.  The typical holding time is between 2-15 days.  There are some out there that have a shorter time frame (2-5days) but with just a couple of more days you can bring in just that much more of the underlying stock move.

This style is designed to find expansive price moves up or down in a small period of time and it is the perfect type of trading for those that do not want to day trade and babysit their trades.

Short term Traders are not interested in:

Company fundamentals
What the company sells
What news that affects the company

The only things we are concerned with are:

• Who is buying and selling the stock.
• How you can get in with the least amount of risk with best results for the trade

There are 3 main sections on this website and it is best to go in order as everything builds on the previous section, and by the end you should have strategy's you can use to effectively trade in the short term.

1.  Beginners Section - Basics of Short Term Trading

   In this section, you will learn the basics of short term trading.  Things that I will cover here will include, trends, charts, price, and volume, along with some basic indicators that will be helpful.  Without having this basic understanding it is very difficult to move forward in trading.  Unfortunately many "advanced" traders don't have the basics down and continue to struggle.
   
   This section is the foundation and will provide you with a solid understanding of basic swing trading tactics.
